On of these little guys is for sale semi-locally. Do any of you have an experience with these? I have only seen them at car shows and have loved them since I first saw one.

I wonder if they were inspired by the 240z's rear quarter panel...
The rear windows, panels, and bumper are quite similar. But they came out at the same time so it could be just coincidence.

There are a pair that show up to Bobs Big Boy every once and a while. One is stock and the other is race prepped. They were the bigger version of the z300 (maybe z500?) so that they could go on the freeway, but I would't try it.

Yeah I bet the highway would be pretty scary in one of these

I saw one in that color in St Pete, FL at Festivals of Speed. Ironic place come to think of it.

Maybe it's a Z360 versus Z600 difference? Or could just be owner customization.

According to Wikipedia they were sold under different names in different countries so the badges were probably different.

Ah, makes sense.

They're pretty rare. They're basically the earliest cars Honda sold in America, equipped with rev-happy, air cooled, twin cylinder motorcycle engines (and period specific motorcycle maintenance and reliability). As such, if you're looking at one as your daily driver, then stay away. But if it's a hobby/passion car, and if you have a garage to keep it in (it has a pre-galvanized body, and thus is prone to rust), then definitely check it out. If it checks out (no rust, no parts missing that would be a nightmare to track down), realize it will be a long time before you find another one that checks out, presuming you do find another one. But parts will be a pain to track down...
